About the 7th Africa Animal Welfare Conference 2023

The 7th Africa Animal Welfare Conference – Action 2023 is an annual event organized by the Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) in collaboration with:

  • United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
  • African Union InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR)
  • The Government of Rwanda

This conference brings together professionals, practitioners, and policymakers from Africa and beyond to address critical issues surrounding animal welfare, wildlife conservation, and environmental sustainability.

  • Vision: To be the primary platform for animal welfare stakeholders in Africa to engage in dialogue, learning, and strategy development.
  • Mission: To deliberate on issues affecting animals, emphasizing their value and contribution to socio-economic, humane, and sustainable development.

Virtual Attendance
